Chestnut Trakehner Gelding

Prelude By Mozart x Sweet Opportunity

Born June 8, 2007

Symfony is a modern sporthorse.  He has a powerful, compact frame with large, well chiseled joints and possesses excellent Trakehner type.  Symfony loves to jump.  He has excellent technique and scope.  When turned out in an arena with jumps, he chooses to jump them all by himself.  When turned out in an area without jumps, he chooses to jump over the fence (thus limiting his turn out to pens with 6' high fences!)  Symfony never tires and has beautiful movement with suspension and engagement of his hind end.  He is an excellent prospect for Eventing or Grand Prix Jumping.

By approved Trakehner stallion Prelude By Mozart whose pedigree includes the legendary Mozart (Reserve Champion of his 100 Day Performance Test in Neumunster, Germany.  Bundeschampion 4 Year Old Riding Horses.  1982, 1983, 1984 Dutch Dressage Champion.  Successfully shown FEI dressage and sire of 6 approved sons in Europe and USA), Condus (Approved Trakehner, Westfalen, Rheinland, Hessen, and Oldenburg. The only Ramzes stallion in the Trakehner breed.  Brother of 2 Olympic silver medal winners (Remus and Mariano). Rated the #1 sire of money winning dressage horses within the Trakehner breed in 1980 and 1981.  Sire of Chrysos and grandsire of Chronos), GUNNAR (sire of 13 approved sons, Reserve National German Champion Mare and Grand Prix gelding), COKTAIL by Habicht (sire of Windfall-2004 Olympic Bronze Medal winner & current #1 Eventing stallion in the world) & sire of approved Grand Prix Dressage stallion Martini), and IMPULS (sire of 16 approved sons in German Stud Book, sire of 5 National German Riding Horse Champions, and 121 Main Stud Book Mares). Symfony's dam is an ATA approved Thoroughbred mare.

Symfony is registered with the American Trakehner Association and Lifetime USEF registered.

Symfony was shown on the line in Hunter Breeding and finished in 8th place in USEF Zone 6 Hunter Breeding Yearlings in 08.  He is the 2010 American Trakehner Association's Horse of the Year Three Year Old Hunter Breeding Champion!  He is also the full brother to Scorpio, winner of BEST YOUNG HORSE at the USEF "A" North Hills Hunt Charity Horse Show in Fremont, NE as a yearling and two year old and 3 time ATA Horse of the Year Hunter Breeding Colts!

Affectionately called "Raven" after the bird shaped star on her forehead, this mare stands 16.2 1/2 hands high.  She is a 1999 Iowa bred Jockey Club registered Thoroughbred and is approved by the American Trakehner Association. Her pedigree traces back to Man O' War and she, herself, was a winner on the track.  She has a sweet disposition and is a beautiful mover.  Raven would make a wonderful riding horse as well as a broodmare.  She is easy to get in foal, foals easily, and is an excellent mother.  According to the Trakehner Inspector, she has good saddle position, good depth of girth, and correct and straight legs.  She scored an impressive "8" on her legs at her ATA Inspection.  Raven produced an exceptional Oldenburg colt in 2005 named "Sebastian" and a handsome bay Trakehner colt by Prelude By Mozart in 2006 named "Replica" and a gorgeous filly by Prelude named "Rihanna" in 2008 and "Rumba" in 2009.  (See "FOALS" page for pictures).  Raven delivered a light chestnut colt on May 8, 2010.   This foal, "Rockstar"  is eligible for the Official Stud Book of the American Trakehner Association and for the American Trakehner Futurity.  Both mare and foal are for sale together or separately.  Raven also foaled a gorgeous filly in 2011.  She is for sale as well.
